Our Promise

It is very simple. We are in the business of sharing the nature we have grown up with, and it is only natural that we contribute to preserving its health.

Our promise is to deduct one percent from the mark-up on all budgets and allocate it to projects that support nature conservation efforts. Our primary partner in this effort is Norges Naturvernforbund, founded in 1914. With over 100 local groups across the country, they work on environmental issues both locally and globally.

Local projects for meaningful impact

By focusing on projects vetted by Naturvernforbundet, we ensure that our contributions are directed towards meaningful and well-supported efforts. This partnership helps us make a tangible difference in preserving Norway's natural beauty.

Through this collaboration, we identify and support local projects that work to protect and enhance Norway's natural landscapes. These initiatives include preserving local habitats, supporting biodiversity, and promoting sustainable practices in communities across the country.

Together, we will spread #skogglede and encourage more people to explore and enjoy the forest. We believe that the more people have positive experiences in the forest, the more they will care for it. In this way, we hope that more will see the forest as more than just trees and become passionate about preserving it for future generations.

On July 1st last year, shrimp quotas in the Skagerrak and the North Sea were significantly reduced because the shrimp population had been overfished and was in poor condition. Several historically rich shrimp fishing grounds were nearly empty, and the quota reduction was an attempt to change this critical situation.
